We recently stayed at the hotel and had an unpleasant experience with the breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Upon check-in, we were not provided with any clear information about how breakfast is handled. We had to figure it out ourselves.
It turned out that we were given breakfast vouchers covering $20 per person. However, when we went to the restaurant, the staff did not explain how the voucher system worked. The waiter simply told us to order what we wanted and said the vouchers would be applied afterwards.
To our surprise, we ended up being charged an extra $80 after breakfast. This was very disappointing, especially since the hotel description stated that breakfast is included, which led us to believe it was fully covered.
We feel this lack of transparency is unfair to guests and creates confusion. It would be much better if the hotel provided clear information at check-in and trained restaurant staff to explain the voucher policy properly. This experience left a negative impression during an otherwise pleasant stay.
