The Staff, made all the difference, Mouad and Mehdi, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and satisfactory, what a professional staff and spoke excellent english, they made me feel like I was staying at home. The service was Top notch. Due to my excellent experience, I am planning to come back to this property and stay longer. These two individuals are professional, hard working, serviable, knowledgeable, they represented the Riad as a five star hotel and provided an experience like no other, they made our stay seems seamless and less stressful. Their dedication was unmatched and enjoyed doing their daily tasks, the were empowered and solution oriented. My experience was the most enjoyable experience ever. Great Job Team Thank you Mehdi Thank you Mouad

Great staff, very helpful, small riad rooms, no kettle, no TV, but very pleasant and relaxing communal areas.

On the far northern edge of the Medina, thus lots of walking to the center. On the other hand, very beautiful, with excellent restaurant (but not cheap), and a great staff.

Great stay

We recently stayed there for a couple of nights and loved it. Staff was very friendly. The Riad was beautiful. We were treated very well by everyone. Great experience. Good breakfast. If you’re going by car, it may be worthwhile reaching out to the Riad staff ahead of time so they can arrange for parking outside of the Medina. It is possible to get there by car to drop off bags, but quite challenging (and can’t park there so might as well avoid the stress).
MARCOS, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

The proprietor was fabulous. Took the time to welcome us with tea and cookies, and showed us a map and the highlights of old town. Went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Very cute hotel with a great breakfast included and a wonderful dinner one of the nights. Felt very clean. The hotel is in the north part of old town and it’s very confusing to find. Felt a little unsafe in old town in general, but nothing to do with this place as it had a locked door.

4/10 Fair

Overall was ok, if you expect to find regular amenities of a lodging such as iron board etc… this may not be your place. I was upset at check out when they made me pay a city tax which was not included in the price I paid in Expedia and was never mentioned in any website of communication, expedirá should be more transparent with this kind of things, does illy when you pay a price which confirms, all taxes and fees are included.
Nohemi, 3-night trip

Very charming property, the only thing was really hard to get to and taxi drivers were not able to locate it with just reading the address. I would really recommend it but with proper instructions about arrival!
Mariola, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

We had a great experience in the Palaus Tinmel. I hope the area won't get damaged by the earthquake. I know the hotel didn't get any damage. The staff are amazing and very helpful people and fave a good recommendation for restaurants and place to visit. The rooms are very authentic and everything is clean. I'd rather cleaner shower area instead of the traditional or if they fix the drainage of the showers it feels a lot better. Not the property but the area itself was dirty and I could see roaches in the street with rubbish on the corner of the street.
Sara, 4-night trip

Our stay at Palais Tinmel was exceptional. from the moment we walked in we felt at home and someone was always at our service. Yusuf and Mohammad were always making sure all of our needs were taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure we were having a great stay at all times. My partner and I both received a massage and it was so great we had to get another one a couple days later. It also happened to be during our stay there where we got engaged. They left rose petals on our bed and had a beautiful dinner setup for us at a nice overlooking table of the city. Yusuf helped make the most of our time and recommended all Of the top places to visit in Marrakech. We can’t wait to visit Morocco again so we can go see our friends in Palais Tinmel!

Believe all the excellent reviews!

We absolutely loved our stay in this beautiful riad. If this is the experience you want, rather than a typical tourist hotel, then we highly recommend you stay here. Staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly and our room was lovely. No complaints at all. It really is an oasis in the chaos of the city. The riad is a little way from the hustle & bustle of the main square but we were glad to be well away from it. Note the walk is not long (20 - 25 mins) but you walk through a part of the city where there are less tourists and locals can try to encourage you to walk a certain way so you get lost or confused, and then want to direct you for money. If you know where you are going and stick to that it's fine, although as a couple we didn't want to walk so far at night. It's a city to have your wits about you anyway. There's not a lot to do at night but we liked that - it was so relaxing. We liked being away from TV etc. (WIFI worked ok). This really is a special place. N.B. be prepared that most places preferred cash to card, including the riad.
