Could have been fine except the carpet had been recently cleaned and the room smelled like damp dog and cleaning product. Carpet so wet we could not walk in stocking or bare feet.

GREAT option for Port Hardy!

The Airport Inn really delivered on everything they offer. (1) We arrived early, were given the room right away (2) Staff were very welcoming and informative (3) The room was spacious, two very comfortable beds, a good sized very clean bathroom with loads of towels (4) Fridge was narrow but tall: great to have on a road trip! Microwave, coffee maker all good. (5) Breakfast included fruit, yogurts, cream cheese, cereals, milks, coffee, tea, several kinds of baked goods. All you need for a nice start. (6) The on-site Indian restaurant was delicious! Glad we read previous reviews and made that our last meal on the island. (7) Gotta repeat: great staff! Everyone we encountered was friendly but the Manager was exceptional. While the Airport Inn isn't in the heart of Port Moody it perfectly served our needs since we were exploring. All in all, excellent choice!

Von der Inside Passage um 0:50 angekommen war die Rezeption noch geöffnet! Der Rezeptionist freundlich. Das Gebäude im die Jahre gekommen. Das Zimmer und der Gang rochen recht muffig. Die Betten sauber mit guter Matratze. Riesieger Kühlschrank. Das Frühstück einfach aber ausreichend in einem Konferenzraum mit allerlei Kisten und sonstigem Kram. Das Personal dafür sehr nett.

Great stay

We spent three nights in a kitchenette unit and we were impressed by how clean it was, with modern appliances and a good size fridge. There is also a gigantic tv with many channels. The hotel is dated, but the upgrades make it very comfortable. There is also an awesome Indian restaurant on site and a small liquor store. While it is next to the airport, there are very few flights and noise wasn't an issue. It is only a 10 min drive from Port Hardy and it is in close proximity to nice beach walks. There is also a laundry room on site that guests can use after 4pm. Bernie the manager was excellent!!

A short but enjoyable stay.

We came back to Port Hardy for a family funeral & chose the Airport Inn for it's convenient location. The staff are super friendly making check in a breeze. The lobby was very clean & the restaurant served an absolutely delicious dinner. I've kniwn the nanager Bernie fron his time.in Nanaimo & it was nice to catch up with an old friend whi has done an incredible job updating this hotel. All in all, it was a great stay under the circumstances. I would highly recommend this property for anyone visiting the North Island.

Shay explained everything with great detail, if i hadnt passed out from being so tired i would have tried the east indian restaurant. This was a surpise as the price we assumed it wouldnt have been how good it was. I will stay here every time we are back

Great place to stay after a long ferry ride

We booked a stay for after our arrival from Prince Rupert on the inside passage ferry. We got in late (arrived at the hotel about 1 AM) along with a slew of others. The manager was set up and ready to efficiently get us all checked in, which was great after such a long day. The building is pretty old, but they keep everything super clean and have nice new beds, a big fridge, etc. So it made for a very comfortable stay before we carried on down island.

Wonderful staff

The gentleman that checked us in was super helpful checking us in. Being a bit older than most, we need a ground floor if there is not elevator. He bent over backwards to make that happen and insisted that he help us with our luggage. We were taking the ferry the next morning, so he made sure to give us important info on getting there. He even had a breakfast ready for us to take when we left at 5:15 am. The reat of the staff was also super!!

Simple but excellent

This was a great place for an overnight stop before getting the ferry to Prince Rupert. The hotel is simple but offers everything you need - a fridge with a freezer compartment, a liquor store, an Indian restaurant and very pleasant and helpful staff. They even let us raid the breakfast room the night before as we had to leave for our ferry before breakfast service started.

Bernie the Manager was so welcoming and told us everything we needed to know about the area, where to eat (at the attached Indian restaurant which was excellent), he accommodated us for breakfast even though we had an extra early start to catch a ferry to Bella Coola (5 am). The room was very pleasing and the beds were comfortable. We had an outdoor patio which we enjoyed the evening sun. I enjoyed walking to the beach and the view was beautiful. I would certainly recommend this place to stay while in Port Hardy 👍
