The coolest design. The warmest welcome.

This was our second time at Pug Seal Anatole France and it lived up to our fond memories from five years ago! It's like staying in an art gallery in your best and coolest friend's home -- cozy, unexpected, inspiring. We love the quirks of design and detail creating a hotel in an existing space requires, we love the incredibly warm staff and team, we love the breakfasts and the way the pillowcases smell. Every small touch and large art installation feels intentional and the space seems timeless, modern and somehow incredibly welcoming all at the same time.

A real boutique hotel in the perfect location

Nice boutique hotel, great location, you can walk in all Polanco area which is perfect for restaurants, cafe and shopping. Good position also for other areas. The service is great, very nice people and easy to reach, fast service and clean rooms. I would just suggest to improve a little the room itself with better aromas and insonorization to reach another level. Overall great experience, recommended!

Great Location. Wouldn't stay again. Room not as expected - this room had no separate space for the bathroom. If you're sharing the room with a friend, one of you will have to leave while the other showers and gets ready. We asked to switch rooms to a cheaper option - they said they would check and let me know. We waited for 30 minutes and when nobody showed up, I went to ask them. That's when they said nothing is available.

Best Boutique Hotel

Pug Seal Anatole France welcomed us for a whole week. The place is gorgeous especially if you like quirky arty common spaces and large comfortable beds with great shower/bath. Breakfasts were delicious and kept us nourished all day. There are multiple lounges offering velvet couches, work spaces, free tea/coffe all day & at least 4 honor bars that I could count (beer,soda, spirits) in each sitting area. The roof deck is especially lovely. Shady & decent sound track to keep you & your book & Tequila cozy. The staff keeps his place sparkling clean and are very kind. Top service. From our excellent location in Polanco we were able to see all of México City. Walked to Anthropology Museum & Castle and Roma Norte/Condessa. The historic district & Coyoacán neighborhoods are a cheap 25 minute Uber away. You can get an Uber anytime of day or night even on holidays. Strongly recommend Pug Seal!

The property is nice but way overpriced $400/night for the location. The area is nice but is located at a very loud intersection in addition to no elevator so you have to carry your luggage upstairs and no one offered to help. I also didn’t like that they start playing loud music directly outside my door (1st floor) where the speaker was so I did not get a good night sleep for how expensive this hotel was.
