Great place to stay when visiting Tokyo

Our stay at Hotel Niwa made our Japan trip exceptional! As American travelers in our early 30s, we found this place to be a gem in Tokyo. The hotel's ambiance was simply beautiful, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for a city known for compact spaces. Its prime location, just a 5-minute walk from a JR line, made navigating Tokyo incredibly convenient. It’s beautiful room. My husband & kids loved here. The location is so convenient with many restaurants nearby, close to station & market with a short walking distance. The park in front of hotel is so beautiful with cherry blossoms. The staff is so friendly & nicely. Front desks are fast service & come to our room to instruct us how to use washer/dryer machine. We will recommend friends staying here & we definitely come bac. Everything is perfect.

We stayed for two nights. It is a perfect location if you want to visit Sensoji Temple. Breakfast buffet is excellent to start your day. Room space (we have the large corner room for three beds) is a little tight but not a big problem if you don't have large amounts of luggage. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. I loved this little gem of a hotel. The staff is lovely and the hotel is affordable and really clean. The walls are also super thick so you don’t hear the baseball games that might happen across the street. I also loved the location. The street is quiet but metro close and so many places walkable. The Narita Airport limosine bus stops directly at this hotel, so it's very convenient if you don't want to carry a bunch of luggage on the shinkansen/local trains. There's a FamilyMart in a section of the building, on the second floor. The nearest metro station is the Akasaka-mitsuke station, and use the D exit (the yellow blocks on Google Maps). The stuffs so friendly and nice. I found elevator front joyo-bank from Ueno station underground walkways. If you have heavy suitcase, its convenient. I’ll be back.

The stay was great, I'm not a big fan of tiny orthopedic pillow, but that's personal. Customer service was superb, a few minutes from okimachi stations and a ramen place that's ALWAYS have a line (but not too long), yummy!

We had a long trip. Difficult to figure out the trains lol (By the way second day it's much easier. It was just cause we were sleep deprived) Anyway, got the most kind gentlemen when we checked in around 9 PM. Had a translating machine on the counter. Excellent location with so much to do within walking distance. Multiple subway line with a 1-2 minute walk. Hotel and staff were wonderful, so pleasant and helpful. Help with Luggage storage and shipping was a great bonus for our group.

This was a well-maintained hotel with wonderful staff. The room itself was lovely and has great amenities. The 3 twin room was surprisingly spacious for 3 people. I felt very safe and seen when I was at the hotel. The front desk staff is amazing and super quick with serving their guests. The area around the hotel was great and easily walkable. I will definitely be back at this hotel in the near future!!

This was a fantastic hotel! The location was incredible - it is walking distance to the Yamanote train line which connects you to other main attractions in Tokyo. There is also tons of great restaurants and shops in the area as well and a convenience store in the heart of the lobby making it easy to grab food, drinks or other supplies.
