"I would 100% stay here again. Prefect location only blocks away from Yale University. Convenient and walkable to lost of attractions. The staff was extraordinarily helpful. The hotel has a nice restaurant and bar on the 19th floor with a beautiful view of Yale Campus. Some reviews stated the decor was dated so I was a bit apprehensive, but I was pleasantly surprised. True, the underground parking garage is a bit tight but parking overnight was only $25 and that's a deal where I come from. Plus I got a great room rate on Expedia."

"Great room, kind staff, very clean atmosphere. My only qualm was the parking situation. It’s downtown New Haven so it’s to be expected, but we didn’t know there was an attached parking garage available, so we walked a block to another garage. Which made no difference to our trip at all as we wanted to explore downtown anyway."

"Pros: Rooms were very clean and decorated nicely. Helpful staff welcoming. One parking spot Per room in back off Street. Had a nice seating areas throughout the games quiet corners to read. Plenty of shopping and restaurants been walking distance. Con: say it's early in the season as I stayed in the beginning of June. But the outdoor patio and gardens needed some attention and trimming. I would assume once the season gets going that this will be a manicured better."

"This was our second stay at the Madison. We loved this property and may return at some future date. Our experience with staff members were short of the standard set during our first visit. Check in was lengthy. The desk attendant was off eating dinner. The valet parking attendant filling in (unable or trained to help) called him back to the front desk. He hurriedly checked us in and issued 2 key cards; neither worked upon reaching our room. So we returned to the front desk. He was once again recalled from dinner a second time to rectify that key card issue. Also, we booked a dinner reservation the Sunday night preceding our departure Monday. Our appetizer and entrée arrived at virtually the same time. The waitress did apologize, but we wasted our appetizer so as to eat our entrée before it grew cold. A manager never surfaced to address regret for that happening. Lastly, we checked out at about 6 am Monday morning. The desk attendant said "you want your keys?" We learned valet service would begin at 7am. We paid for complete parking assistance. Superb property, but staff excellence was off the expected mark this time."

"Our room was clean, which is about the only positive I can say. The neighborhood is very industrial, sometimes scary. The hotel is right next to a cannabis facility. One of the elevators didn't work the whole weekend. The wait was about 8 minutes in the morning to try to get to the lobby with the one existing elevator The advertised pool has been filled in. Our blinds were broken and didn't roll down. The tv didn't work, and we were told there was nothing that could be done. The bathroom had a huge chip in the vanity. The shower continually switched back to running bath water. Breakfast was available, but abysmal. The entire facility needs an update inside. The bottom floor has been done and is very nice, but the rest of the facility is in pretty rough shape."
