"This was the second time we have stayed at the hotel It is a lovely old large house and we strayed in a triple room with our daughter. Staff have always been very helpful and accommodating. Good cooked breakfast, comfortable room and we got a late check out for free. Would recommended for a stay in the Bristol area"

"All staff were friendly and helpful. Bar was pleasant and comfortable to enjoy a drink. We did not eat there but everyone there seemed to enjoy what they had. Perfect location for overnight stay for early flight. Room was comfortable and quiet. The only downside was the toilet cistern was difficult to operate. Would definitely stay there again. Good, free public parking behind the pub"

"This is a beautiful property. We dined like royalty and the breakfast was very very good. Our restaurant waiter was very professional and did a great job describing the wine pairings. Our room was truly magnificent. We stayed in the queen Mary room. It was truly a bucket list item for me. The castle is a must do for history lovers and romantics."

"Great BnB, perfectly located for the Mendips, Wells, Cheddar but equally the coast Weston, Bream, Burnham. And Bristol not too far. Loads of parking for each room. Owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, rooms were well acquainted and well decorated especially for the age of the building. My main fear was the noise of the road, but considering the heat of the bank holiday even with the windows closed the room wasn’t too warm (wasn’t cool but sleepable).
