It's a little far from Venice and doesn't have a shuttle, but for us for one day it was a treat. We took a taxi that cost 30 euros each way, we had so little time it made it worth it. The place is lovely even if the paintings are a bit camp after you have seen the masterpieces in Venice. The grounds and interior are lovely, gracious, and comfortable. The pool is elegant, but I wish it were open longer, it was hard to make time to swim before or after our excursions. The rooms are very nice...

The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.

The hotel is clean, conveniently located, and very cute. Taking the advice from a previous reviewer, we got a canel view (rm3), and we loved it so much. It can be noisy if you’re sensitive to noise but didn’t bother us (in fact we slept so well). The location is excellent, walkable to all areas we wanted to go (Rialto 5m, St Mark’s 10m, Guggenheim 20 m) - but of course you get lost in Venice, so it’ll take longer. The hotel was great. Very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The small breakfast buffet was well worth the 15€. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice and comfortable. All the amenities were in good order, and the staff was great, particularly with restaurant recommendations. We'd happily come back!

Best hotel I have stayed at in quite some time. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The homemade bread was excellent. The room was bigger than expected and the beds were comfortable. We stayed here to get away from the crowds at Venice and could not have picked a more relaxing area. The river runs right next to it. The town has a train station with a direct route to Venice. We drove our car to the station (plenty of free parking) and took the train in to Venice each day. I would highly recommend...

This was a great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. It is a charming building and hotel and our room was very nice - new, clean and modern. It is a very short walk to catch the water taxi to Venice, with many restaurants near and between the hotel and water taxi - perfect. The staff went out of their way to provide a high level of attention and service. They handled the parking of our rental car with no problem, which we did not use while there. I highly recommend the Ausonia Hungaria.

Has a dock. Convenient to come into from the Airport or Train Station. Hands down a great choice ! Take the speed boat taxi in or you will be lugging your suitcases thru the streets.

The hotel was located in a great location, central to a lot of dining and shopping options. It was a quick boat taxi from the train station or a 20-25 minute walk. The room was very clean and slept well. The hotel is connected to their cafe which is convenient for quick bites and cafe

It was very easy to get to the property by waterbus taxi. The waterbus taxi stand is just several feet away. The room and bathroom was beautiful and spacious; with a canal view!! The staff was very nice and professional!

Beautiful older hotel perfect fit for Venice. Very clean and timeless hotel. Excellent service. Excellent breakfast. Right in the shopping area of Venice and close walk to St.Marks Square. Nice amenities including: Spa for an additional charge. Boat taxi service provided by the hotel. Bar on site. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Overall very satisfied with our room, included breakfast and the friendliness of the staff. Pro's: 1. Hotel entrance faces the Grand Canal, and located very close to the Sant Angelo vaporetto water taxi stop (like 100 meters) 2. Great hotel for Venice area. Small but like home. Very nice, informative, helpful and professional staff from the reception to the lady in charge of the breakfast. Very clean and updated. Excellent location near all landmarks. Water taxi stop is nearby 2-3 minutes walk. Very comfortable. I would go back again.
