"Lovely feel to this hotel, very friendly staff, superb breakfast, nice bar, everything you need and about 15 minutes walk into town."

"I am a regular solo traveller to Canterbury and couldn't get a room at my regular B&B so i decided to try the Cathedral Gate Hotel as I often thought it looked like an interesting place to stay. I received a warm welcome on arrival and shown to my room which had a view to the bustling market square. My room was clean and comfortable. Canterbury has a lively, noisy nightlife which is to be expected in a busy city centre and earplugs are provided for those who require them! The continental breakfast was delicious and the croissants served straight from the oven were perfect. I loved the building which is around 700 years old with its sloping floors and rabbit warren like corridors! I am looking forward to my next visit to Canterbury and will definitely be booking into the Cathedral Gate, I had a great stay and it is just a 10 minute walk from the train station!"

"Great stay but no one to answer the listed Emergency Phone number for use when property is not staffed. Everything was great but when trying to store luggage for a few hours at the end of the second day stay there was no one available at property nor on the posted emergency phone number"
