"Whoever issues this sort of review request should check carefully before sending it. We were not able to stay at the Retreat because our flights to Vietnam were cancelled because of the war in Iran. We knew that the Retreat booking was not cancellable, but they would not offer us credit towards a future stay if we manage to re-arrange this once in a lifetime holiday. All we can say is that the Retreat was the most expensive of the places we were due to stay on our travels and therefore would hope that it lived up to the cost. We wish them well but are not likely to go there when we finally get to Vietnam. "

"Not a huge choice in Breakfast menu but completely adequate. Did have options of freshly made eggs such as scrambled or fried etc as most we have seen. Friendly staff and helpful when required.
The little bungalow room was ideal, really nice and clean, not a huge amount of space and a bit tight on suitcase space when just travelling for a few nights but no drama.
Was within a 600m walk to centre of tam cóc which was fine, easy walk and nice to be a short way out of the bustle.
Overall we were really happy with the stay and would recommend to others"
