Glide through shimmering canals on a gondola while Renaissance palaces rise from the water like architectural magic tricks. St. Mark's Square buzzes with café life beneath the Byzantine splendor of its basilica. The Grand Canal presents a parade of palazzos best viewed from the Rialto Bridge, where merchants have haggled for centuries. The Doge's Palace reveals opulent rooms where Venetian rulers once plotted their maritime empire. Teatro La Fenice offers world-class opera in a setting that has literally risen from the ashes multiple times.
The photos do not do this property justice. The rooms look old in the photos and that could not be further from reality. The rooms are freshly renovated and the motif makes them appear in photos to have faded paint and furnishings, this is due to the color aesthetic not coming through in the pictures.
Has a dock. Convenient to come into from the Airport or Train Station.
Hands down a great choice ! Take the speed boat taxi in or you will be lugging your suitcases thru the streets.
This was a great place for us to stay while visiting Venice. It is a charming building and hotel and our room was very nice - new, clean and modern. It is a very short walk to catch the water taxi to Venice, with many restaurants near and between the hotel and water taxi - perfect. The staff went out of their way to provide a high level of attention and service. They handled the parking of our rental car with no problem, which we did not use while there. I highly recommend the Ausonia Hungaria.
This hotel was excellent! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our room was clean. We would definitely use this hotel again if we ever came back to Venice. It is close to Saint Marks Square and lots of shopping is available.
This is a perfectly situated hotel. It’s walkable to all major landmarks and located right on the Grand Canal. If you don’t feel like walking, there’s a water bus stop immediately outside the hotel!
Check in was easy .
Staff is nice.
Beautiful breathtaking views of the water were incredible. Our Room small but our balcony and view amazing!
It is such a wonderful place. I've been there twice now and it truly feels like home. The staff is just so incredibly skilled, professional, helpful and friendly and the bedrooms are so beautifully decorated and comfortable. I've stayed in many different hotels in Venice but Ca' Sagredo goes straight to the top of my list!
We loved where it was located. So quiet. Great Beds, Great service. Loved all the old pictures of Venice on their walls. Ate at the restuarant next door twice. Very good. I highly recommend this Hotel for your visit to Venice!
I was attending a conference at the Palazzo di Cinema next to AQF. A wonderfully convenient place to stay. I particularly enjoyed the morning breakfast service.
We stayed in a superior room for 8 nights. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Buffet breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of interesting choices. Our host made decaf espresso for us each morning and provided us with detailed information about Venice, including restaurants and cultural sites, in response to any request.
Good experience for the first time in Italy, hotel have good breakfast and they advise with the things you need to moved around like bus, vaporeto to Venice or ATM machines etc ....
We liked the class and taste. Hotel is brand new with good lighting in the bedroom, bathroom and public spaces. Breakfast buffet and the cappuccinos were awesome. Very friendly staff, nice neighborhood and close to San Marco. Very close as well to the a boat station.
We were upgraded to a larger room, which was very nice and comfortable. All the amenities were in good order, and the staff was great, particularly with restaurant recommendations. We'd happily come back!
The hotel was exquisitely appointed and beautifully designed with all the comforts of contemporary Venice and the historical beauty of the original medieval building. What a treat to have breakfast every morning sitting beside authentic Renaissance frescoes. The staff was lovely and helpful. Our room was very comfortable and well appointed. We especially liked the separate niche for our luggage and the mini fridge safe and coffee. It kept the room clutter free. We hated to leave. Highly...
