"Had a very long layover in Cairo so booked a room at Le Meridien because it is attached to the airport. Room was perfect-very clean, comfortable and silent despite being attached to the airport. Nice pool and a great burger in the sports bar. Most of the staff are perfectly lovely and helpful…there is always that one guy though… too bad or else this would have been an all 5 star rating from me."

"To be clear this is NOT a 5Star hotel as offered on t(e Expedia website. We’ve been in many - including through Expedia - but this one has been mislabelled.
Check-in was efficient and easy. The room very small but perhaps that’s what we had paid for. Bathroom was ok.
3 wall sockets but no USB charging points.
Mattress firm and very welcoming.
The bar area which is also the Reception was too smokey and we couldn’t stay. We enquired about a No Smoking area but there was none available.
Buffet dinner was in a canteen (wouldn’t call it a restaurant) but like for breakfast nothing was hot; all options were tepid.
The free hotel bus was welcomed although the hotel was only a 5-minute ride away. "
