"An excellent place to stay in Funchal! A very convenient location, with plenty of great restaurants and shops nearby. The staff is very attentive, the breakfast is wonderful and varied, and there is a rooftop pool and bar with a magnificent view!"
"We stayed here 3 nights and it was in the center of everything. We were able to walk from the hotel to the water, dinner, Alfama, the Santa Justa Lift, the train station (to get to Sintra) and more. If you need anything at all it’s steps away!
The staff were friendly and they have a bar on site.
The hotel itself is clean and they gave cute welcome snacks. Breakfast buffet is super convenient in their restaurant (fruit, yogurt. Bacon, toast, cheeses, meats, coffee, juices, etc).
The only two slightly negative comments are that you are in the middle of the city life so if there is a truck pulling in to make a delivery or fix something at 6a you will hear it outside your room. We heard people out partying until midnight and then the workers at 6am. However, they were only there one of the mornings so we survived!
The other is that it has a simple room and is not super modern or luxurious- so make sure you have reasonable expectations. But it’s clean so that was important to us.
It is a great hotel. We really enjoyed it and recommend it for travelers looking to have easy access to everything Lisbon has to offer."
"Stayed 1 night before flight home . Situated very close to airport , beautiful rooms and very clean . Roof top restaurant is overpriced and food is ok , I had to send back the sliders because the bread was rock solid , slow service , the water and drinks came to the table after food"
