It's gotten a little over touristy and the pricing etc reflect this. Still a fun place to visit but no longer really an affordable option. More a splurge. I'm starting to do more research to find the next Puerto Vallarta as it was maybe 20 years ago

As a first timer to PV we found it to be a place that most people who visit go year after year. There is plenty of shopping, food options you never have to have the same thing twice, & there is a taxi at your beckoned call 24/7 without reservation.

The sunsets are amazing as is the food. We went there to rest and eating our meals watching the stunning sunsets was amazing. We went to Yalapa by boat and took a hop on hop off bus tour but otherwise not much else to do which was perfect!

This was our first visit to PV and I can say we will definitely be back. It was a very safe and relaxing area. We hiked to Mirrador deLa Cruz. Which was worth the hike! A visit to the skyview bar is a must for a sunset view of PV also.

My first visit to this lively town on the Pacific. It's a wonderful mix of Mexicans and ex-pats - young and old, gay and straight. Some wonderful restaurants on the beach and in-town.

Try the Marine district for an evening. It is just blocks away from the hotel. Visit the Romantic Zone. Do the walkable Art Show on Wednesday nights in the Old Town galleries.

Puerto Vallarta is a lively town. I liked the activity, but in small doses. If you get tired of all the partying, I would highly suggest zip-lining in the rainforest.
"The staff were absolutely amazing. Every single one. Food and drink top notch. They accommodated any requests and even offered things we didn’t know we wanted. Lovely hotel and grounds. Meals were great. They put so much effort into making meals memorable with themes and entertainment. Couldn’t ask for a single thing more that what we got. "
"The place was nice, staff was very friendly. I did not like the pool being close so early. There was plenty of teenagers that could benefit from longer pool hours and more of a night life for them."

"One of the most friendly and relaxing experiences I've had in a long time.
At times it was a bit noisy but it is very family friendly so there were lots of kids.
Otherwise, amazing!"
