"The Crescent Hotel is on the Georgian crescent overlooking the park and is a perfect location for going to the Stephen Joseph Theatre. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. "A great hotel at a reasonable price. We were there on a Saturday and there was entertainment in the evening too. We had tickets to a concert, but it all seemed to be going well when we got back. Staff were great. Parking on-site for £6 per day. Room was lovely and beds comfy. Woyld recommend"
