Staff was superb. We would have liked some tower of spa after long hikes each day.

What a lovely property. Very historic and the plants and wall paintings give it a welcoming touch. Excellent friendly service, especially from Daniel. Breakfast was also very decent. Very good location in historical center, but the only drawback is that the hotel is on a street that has a lot of noisy bars. Best to request the very quiet rooms in the back. Otherwise a perfect stay.

the place is a piece of paradise. Even though it is a little ways off, it is worth it. If you like nature and luxury at the same time, this is the place to be. Make sure to ask the staff to turn on the fireplace.

The hotel makes a nice stay over when transiting via Quito to the Galapagos or other destination in Ecuador. Staff and service were great, very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the Botanica Restaurant and found the service and quality excellent (try the Tempura Shrimp entree). The heated book was very welcome and while we did not have time to use it, the fitness center was large with a great selection of modern equipment. They were very kind, patient, and hospitable. Facility was super clean. They are following the CDC’s guidelines for COVID. The community Areas were not crowded. There is outside sitting to eat. The room service also brings up food to your room and all the food is appropriately covered and silverwear is brought in a sealed bag. Food was always delicious and at the appropriate temperature. They also provide a free shuttle to the Airport (which is very close to hotel). Felt super safe to stay here...

Wonderful mountain and sea views, great breakfast, comfortable and clean rooms, and most important wonderful hotel management and staff support, could not have asked for more.

We thought this hotel was very charming and comfortable. It had a great deal of character, and the staff was very kind and helpful. It was easy to walk around the city from this location or get a taxi. As we were leaving, there were no empty taxis any where and we needed to be at the bus station; two staff members came outside to help us flag down an empty taxi to get us off on time. This hacienda has great character and is a fine example of the people and culture of Ecuador. This place is no Ritz, but that was exactly why I liked it. It's rustic and original, not genuine-imitation like most Americans are used to. The floors creaked, the bed creaked, the bathrooms are spartan but spotlessly clean. The grounds and gardens were naturally beautiful, and the pool area looked inviting, although my schedule didn't allow for that indulgence. I'm planning on that for my next visit.

Very short trip. Appreciated the hotel organizing the taxi and giving me the option to charge to the room for my trip to and from the airport. This was a nice convenience especially given my very early morning arrival and departure times. I will definitely stay here again.

Spectacular value and very helpful staff. They also offer airport shuttle service if you stay 2 or more nights which would have been a $26 taxi ride.

Great location for our needs. Lots of restaurants nearby. A little dated but staff was super friendly and it met our needs perfectly.

I arrived very late. The hotel owner was there to greet me and check me in. They accommodated a later breakfast time. Was very happy and would stay again!

I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.

LOVED OUR STAY HERE! Very clean, neat, & the staff was absolutely fantastic!! Food was great! Oh the saunas were so so so relaxing. The only reason I checked off the area outside of the property being unsafe is that Ecuador was under marshall law so we did not feel safe outside the hotel. BUT WE FELT TOTALLY SAFE & COMFORTABLE INSIDE!!! Did I mention how friendly the staff were!!!!! Cannot wait to came back!
