Great Location, out of the city, but not far from shopping center and local restaurants. 30 minutes away from Durban. Checking-in was easy, and the room was spacious, and the lady receiving us was helpful and guide us where to find food close by. Breakfast was good, and sufficient, service was very good. The only 2 things I would say were bad, is that the hot water run out quick, not enough for 2 people to take hot showers (unless you are quick), that was an issue now that is winter. The other...

EXCELLENT hotel. We stayed in the Presidential Suite which had amazing views into Kloof Gorge. Very spacious room with very large veranda/balcony and comfortable bed. Our hostess, Alta, was very sweet, nice, and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

We were in need of a day of rest to recover from norovirus. The tranquil setting was just what we needed. The staff took special care to see that we were comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The hosts were welcoming, the room was well appointed, and the balcony overlooking the water was a bonus. Our hosts were exceptionally accommodating and helpful, they made our stay special. We hope to be able to return one day.

The hotel was clean, modern and in an excellent location. The staff was fantastic as well. This property is an excellent value and I would recommend it to anyone passing through or in search of an extended stay.

Best choice for couples. Spacious room (all rooms overlooking the beach). Everything was working and the staff was super friendly. If you want to avoid crowds on the beach and in the hotel, you must book North Star. Taxi is available and the trip to Umhlanga takes less than 6 minutes. Highly recommended
