"Stranded 1 night in Rio & exhausted. Booked a room at Modernistas Hospedagem e Arte because it's in a traditional touristic neighborhood, as opposed to the beaches. I already know (& love) the beaches but was coming to Rio after 2 wks on Florianópolis beaches. Missed my flight to US at Riogaleão, arriving after midnight. "This is an excellent hotel. The locality is excellent some lovely restaurants and vibrant bars. I had some concerns regarding the safety but I was pleasantly surprised. The obvious measures to prevent theft and mugging is more than sufficient. The spa was a relaxing experience. If you can make it to the Yoga session in Saturday morning, I would recommend it"
