"What a gem!! We stayed for 4 days. Had to readjust our arrival and departure date at last minute due to typhoon Shanshan☹️. They even refunded our last day stay without asking as we had to leave a day earlier due to approaching typhoon.We arrived at midnight by train and the manager met us on site to welcome us and explain everything. Having a washer and dryer in one machine on site saved us! We would do a load of laundry every night and in the morning have clean clothes. Saved a lot of time...

"It's an unbeateable location, you can walk everywhere and it still feels peaceful and serene. the inside of the ryokan is stunning, the bedrooms with the private onsens are incredible and the staff (and delicious japanese breakfast!) was perfection. couldn't recommend this one enough!"

"Small hotel close to one of the most important temples . Quiet area with large rooms (for Japan) nice roof terrace to watch sun go down. No dining option on site but plenty within walking distance "

"Clean rooms, towel service with water bottle everyday, property was quiet and well maintained. Lacking closet/dresser/hanger space. No dryer, just washer, but was provided a fan and hanging rack for drying. Loved the soaking tub!"

"This was without a doubt the best stay I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, very communicative despite the gap of languages. The room was fantastic with heated tatami mat floors, immaculately clean and well designed. It was an absolute pleasure and 10/10 would stay there again.
