"Very new hotel so it was pristine. The reception staff, bar staff and breakfast staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean. We would definitely stay here again."

"Room was dated, toilet not flushing properly, leaking from the stack. Colleagues friendly and efficient. Nice walk on footpath to Clowne, and Greenway to Creswell."

"A lovely place but unfortunately let down by rude staff, bad room placement and broken air conditioning. There was a wedding taken place and the music went on into the night, between this and the broken air conditioning, our young baby was disturbed through the night. We contacted Gary the nightporter who was helpful and explained they knew it was an issue and to raise it with management the following day. We contacted management by email in the end as no one was available the following day. I was contacted by Vicky, who did offer a tokenistic 20% off on future bookings but implied I had lied about all issues and failed to respond when I queried her approach. Really disappointing, at over £200 a night - we got no sleep and our baby really didn’t enjoy the next day owing to his discomfort in the night. A real shame that it could have been resolved so easily with effective customer service and a kind manner."

"Easy to find, good parking, very clean hotel with nice bar and restaurant area and rooms are spacious - all good Breakfast is excellent and cheaper if paid in advance or on check-in"

"very tired hotel - they are currently doing works in the lobby which looks to be a lick of paint and tiling. the rooms are really tired though, with no temperature control and no ability to open windows - cue awful night's sleep due to the room being very stuffy. can tell it was once a lovely hotel with good amenities when it was built, but everything is very shabby now and the new Radisson around the corner shows it up"
