Lots to do here. Downtown has a lot to do. Sedona is a short drive to the south; Grand Canyon short drive to the north. Observatory was a great experience. Good vibe all around; clean city. People at restaurants and stores were friendly and helpful

We enjoyed our visit! We toured the Rhiordan Mansion and Lowell Observatory. We enjoyed a beautiful mountain drive to Sedona. The drive was awesome but Sedona was not our favorite place. We would have rather spent more time at the Observatory.

Visit Lowell Observatory if you have time. Totally worth it! Tourist Home is an excellent place for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The food is excellent but the building is interesting too: it's an historic Basque boarding house, for sheep herders.

Flagstaff is a beautiful city with many attractions, interesting history, and amazing views of the San Francisco peaks. If you're in the mood for snow in the fall in winter, I recommend staying in this area to enjoy the wintry weather.

I love Flagstaff. It is the gateway to many scenic places in Arizona, like the Grand Canyon, SEDONA, Page and some national monuments. I would avoid it during snow storms but rest of the time it is a great place to visit.

If you are a craft beer person, then try and complete the brewery passport of all 8 in Flagstaff. Historic Brewing Company was the best Taproom, and the food at Lumberjack and Grand Canyon was mouth-watering.

Don't miss Fort Tuthill and Buffalo Park. The shady pines are a great treat both in winter (snow melts slower) and in summer (shade, shade, shade at Ft Tuthill) for outdoor activities in the cool air.

Flagstaff is great for a short visit. The university (NAU) is the predominant feature with the town being secondary. Beautiful scenery and a great way to escape the heat of Phoenix in the summer.
"Wow! It was like stepping back in time. Very well updated and clean. It had a unique charm and fit with the Old Route 66 theme. I will gladly stay again--this time I would like to bring the kids. I was like staying in a movie set."
"The rooms were clean and the linen smelled good. The air conditioner could use some attention, it didnt cool our room to temp we like. Check in was super easy and got to our room within a couple minutes instead of the usual 5-10 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel. "
"We had a great stay! The rooms are nicely decorated, fairly clean, and the beds were super comfortable. The decor throughout the hotel is really cute and gives it a cozy charm. The shower could use a little TLC, but it didn’t take away from the overall experience.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. The on-site food was absolutely delicious but just a bit on the pricier side. The pool area was lovely, perfect for relaxing after a day out.
Do note that it can get a little loud at times since the train passes right behind the hotel, but the location is super convenient and just a short drive to downtown.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay and we’d definitely come back!"
