Excellent
Well nobody wants to visit Goleta - but if you need to visit your kid at UCSB it's a great place to stay. A bit expensive for a semi-rural location but it's well appointed.

Goleta is quiet, at least when UCSB is not in session. There are many great food options.

Nothing open in the morning until 8:00. We were there for business and had to leave early, it made it very difficult to start your day when there was nothing open until 8:00

The Calle Real corridor has improved having lived in Santa Barbara before. All traveler conveniences are available.
"Old-school elevator takes a long time to arrive; not ideal if in a hurry, which means carrying luggage up or down flights of stairs.
Check-out process was long and tedious because of a discrepancy in the price showing up in the hotel's system; the manager worked to honor the price shown on the invoice I received at the time of booking which was lower than what I was being charged at the time of check-out."
"Beautiful grounds and was small enough that you wouldn’t get lost. Was quiet, clean, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet had a variety and plenty of places to sit. The pool area was clean and towels provided. The room itself was very comfortable and the temp could be adjusted easily. The hotel is very convenient to all the restaurants, shopping and sightseeing and the mountain Vista in the distance, just add to the serene surroundings, along with a lovely lily, pond and benches around it to sit and have a calm moment and watch the ducks. They also had a Little kiosk you could buy toiletries and other items you may need as well as snacks and beverages, and all day coffee is provided there too. "
"Great quite area yet close enough to drive to the beach, good size rooms, pool & restaurant and bar inside. Good parking, thanks to all the friendly staff. "
