Oakhurst is relatively close to Bass Lake and about 35 minutes to the southern side of Yosemite National Park. It's not too large of a town, good restaurants and essential stores are very close to one another.

Oakhurst was nice and close to Yosemite. It's a small town but very safe
"Stayed 1 night as part of a UK family road trip around N California. Lovely clean, quiet, modern and well situated hotel for Yosemite park S entrance. Thanks. Reception staff were really pleasant too. "
"This hotel was fantastic—very spacious, comfortable and clean. The restaurant had a great menu and complementary breakfast was decent enough. The two onsite pools and hot tubs were great and the drive to Yosemite was very convenient. I would absolutely stay here again. "
"The property is nicely remodeled and well-maintained. The staff is very friendly, and the breakfast was enjoyable (both outside and indoor sitting area available). Very convenient location if you're visiting Yosemite National Park."
"This place is beautiful and very clean. The beds and pillows are soft and comfortable. The bathroom is huge. Our room had a tiny kitchen with a sink and refrigerator. I "
"Friendly staff. Nice facilities. It used to be a Comfort Inn (card on the back of the door), so still gives the same type of breakfast. Convenient location to Yosemite and a reasonable price. Go through the hotel it will be about $50 cheaper than going through Expedia. "
"Best sleep we’ve had during our travel these past 3 weeks. Reserved a traditional cabin room - very quiet and comfortable! If you’re picky about your bed and pillows, this place accommodates! Book here, you won’t be disappointed! "
