Lake George is still a great destination for us after almost 40 years. Even in the off-season the bars & restaurants offer quality fare. There's a little too much development that is kind of ruining the vibe but I guess it's just a sign of the times.

I live on the lake and always thought what's the difference, but Lake George...you just got to visit that place! Lots of attractions, from affordable for many to affordable for some, gorgeous views, action packed and yet peaceful place. Gem

It was my first trip to Lake George, on my wife's recommendation. It was like a second honeymoon for us. Beautiful area, breathtaking scenery with a thousand things to see and do. Will definitely come back again.

Ive been to lake George almost every summer in the last 30 years. Love the scenery and picturesque location. Hard to find decent food. Too many touristy places. Always do dinner cruise. Always go to Saratoga racetrack and dinner in Saratoga

Was a very great location of the resort. You can basically walk to downtown lake George and go do your shopping, grab a bite to eat and just relax @ Shepherd park. It was Americade weekend so it was definitely busy and very enjoyable for us.

Beautiful area. Traffic is dicey with pedestrians and merging cars. Much to do, but all outside and the weather was not on our side. Great restaurant experiences at the larger chain restaurants. Will visit again for sure.

This place certainly caters to tourists, but there's so many little towns and spots to explore from here. Great option to stay here if hotels in Saratoga Springs are sold out.

Always like visiting here but usually (slightly) off season to avoid the crowds during track season. Very scenic and lots of places to eat, drink and explore a bit.
"What a nice 2 day stay with our dog Shelby! The hotel is nicely updated. Our king efficiency was very nice, roomy, and the bed was SO COMFORTABLE!. All the staff were very pleasant that we interacted with. The pool and hot tub were nice for a quick dip, lots of kids but its Lake George in the summer! I didnt ever see towels at the pool so bring your own.
Just some minor comments. Some areas need a detail cleaning. The elevator walls, buttons and floors needed attention as well as the tile floors in the lobby and by elevators. Whatever air freshner is being used in the lobby is way to strong and mixed with the chlorine from the pool was alot. The chlorine smell was better on day 2.
Coffee all day is great!!
Breakfast was always packed so i only managed to get toast and a bagel. The people running it were hussling for sure.
All in all, a very nice stay and thank you for being pet friendly!!"
"This was our first time at Lake George and we loved our stay! It was far enough away so tourists weren’t everywhere but close enough to walk to everything. We enjoyed the pool, ping pong, and basketball hoop. Would definitely stay again! "

"Hot tub was unavailable, so they let us to swim at the La Quinta (they own both) to make up for it. Amazing! family owned, good people. Stay here at La Quinta instead of Six Flags lodge if you go! "
"The pool is great for the kids, the breakfast and lunch at the bar are good and they don’t break the bank. Being able to walk down to the water and not worry about the kids terribly is always a plus. We love it. Hidden gem. "
