"We stayed in a double room for the purposes of visiting Alton Towers. The location was perfect being about 40 minutes away. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a private shower and toilet. No tv but this was fine. Downstairs had a communal kitchen and seated area which was clean. I only used facilities to make a cup of tea. Joseph (manager) was welcoming, friendly and was always nearby to answer any questions. £20 refundable deposit was required for the room key. "Horrendous, the photos were completely misleading I got there and it was filthy, dirty earbuds and a spoon in the wardrobe, kitchen was horrendous, I didn't even want to sit on the bed, I actually cried when I got there and I missed my uni day tried to contact the host and the were horrible z totally out of order and lied, I've never been to a place like it. And other people were in there and had all their messages everywhere,I had to spend more money getting a taxi and a room at the premier...

"We felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. ...
