"We stayed in a double room for the purposes of visiting Alton Towers. The location was perfect being about 40 minutes away. The room was basic but clean and comfortable with a private shower and toilet. No tv but this was fine. Downstairs had a communal kitchen and seated area which was clean. I only used facilities to make a cup of tea. Joseph (manager) was welcoming, friendly and was always nearby to answer any questions. £20 refundable deposit was required for the room key. Fireworks went...

" This is a budget hotel and extremely good value for the low price I paid. Some very good points... Room fairly spacious, warm radiator, lots of hot water, safe place to park the car, pretty central as just off the M6, unlimited supply of coffee tea milk and sugar, easy to operate small TV adequate size for the room, bed very comfortable . The staff were very helpful and efficient. Negative points are few but relate to bathroom in particular. Needed a good clean in some areas and older fittings...

"We felt that the hotel offered very good value for money for a short few hour stay on route to our destination. It is true to say the hotel was full of charcter and one could easily imagine how beautiful it was in its heyday.... however time has clearly taken its toll. It seemed to have a variety of characters staying there..... Certainly one may feel vulnerable in the sirrounding area.... but the car park was close and included in the cost of the room. We have no complaints whatsoever. ...

"When i arrived i was sent the code to the key safe to get the keys. When I opened it there was no key in the safe. Having phoned the contact number and cutting a long story short a member of staff had gone off with the keys in his pocket. Also there was no shower gel in the shower. The kitchen is communal and the walls are not thick and I was awaken by the sound of cups being knocked together at approximately 6 am."

"So i suppose the price for a night isnt bad, but when youre expecting a whole apartment aslisted and there are others there, its not so great. Stood outside door for 20mins. Not easy to get key via access code( no email before) 2 towels for 3 people, 1 was damp, 1 had a brown 'stain' on it. Bedding old and worn. Headboards dubiously stained!!!!"

"Wonderful hotel, very central to everything. Staff went out of their way to assist. Car park only £9 for 24 hours. Room was modern and a decent size and had everything needed, including a huge comfortable bed. Would not hesitate to stay again if visiting the area."

"This was second time I stayed at this hotel for our Alton Towers trip. It’s very popular hotel in stoke on Trent which has many shops and food places to eat out which great with family. Hotel itself is great and family rooms are amazing and comfortable queen beds. Morning breakfast is best with family also evening meal in restaurant & bar area is good. They have nice seating outside too. Overall my first choice hotel when we go Alton Towers."
