"A nice individual hotel with excellent staff, friendly and informative. Characterful and comfortable room with an excellent shower!! Very conveniently located an easy 30 minute walk into York via the riverbank (past ice-cream boat). 7Kw EV charging at competitive prices and £15 charge for the car park. Nick on reception was very welcoming and the addition of a shared balcony to the room was an added bonus. Definitely a goon choice if you want somewhere with charm and a friendly atmosphere"

With construction and cobbled roads and hills it was not a very pleasant experience. It is more like 25 minutes walk if you don’t want to be dripping in sweat. Great room and breakfast was great."
