"The location was excellent just a short walk to Moto-Hakone and nearby restaurants. The walk back uphill is definitely doable, but I’d recommend taking a taxi, especially after a long day out. The home itself is tucked away in the mountains, offering a peaceful and private setting. It was beautifully designed and comfortably accommodated our family of six. "Our favorite stay during our 2 week Japan trip. Incredible amenities (hot spring, sauna, heated floors, projector), amazing views of Hakone Shrine and Fuji, and a smooth check-in process. The bus stop, 7/11, and pirate ship dock are a 2-min walk away and were incredibly convenient. "

"Hakone Hotel is an older hotel that is well maintained with the staff creating a beautiful and comfortable atmosphere. The hotel is designed so that all rooms have a view of lake Ashi that is enhanced by a large picture window. We will definitely choose this hotel if we return to Hakone"
