Excellent
I loved Ripon. Plenty to see, good food for all tastes. I watched the horn-blower, visited the cathedral, walked along the river Skell. Even on a winter day with wet snow, the place was lovely

Stunning countryside, but meeting tractors on the tiny twisty roads with few passing places was daunting!

Ripon is a lovely towns and Jervaulx Abbey is also lovely as were the surrounding priories with lovely laid out grounds and gardens etc but ours was disappointing with just gravel but there were nice tubs of flowers which were pretty.
"Was pleasantly surprised by hotel, room was nice, rooftop bar a bonus although there was an unpleasant smell drifting into rooftop from somewhere. Breakfast service and food was excellent. Would stay again and hope the smell was a one off"
"This was our second stay at Grantley Hall and it didn’t disappoint. It is the best hotel I’ve stayed in. Lovely spa area provides for a relaxing break."
