There is a bar that is Tintin themed. I highly recommend checking it out. I had their loaded fries and they were delicious. Also the combination ticket for the Aquarium, Castle and Smugglers Cove attraction is a pretty good deal.

We left the hotel to visit Battle. This is the site where the battle of Hastings took place. Well worth the visit.

Maggie's fish and chips restaurant at Rock a Nore in the old town has been voted 3rd best in the UK earlier this year and I can vouch for that as I've visited it several times over the years. Best to book before going though during busy times

The Old Town, where we stayed, is definitely the best part. Everything you need is there. Dont bother wandering around the rest of Hastings, we wasted our time doing that

If travelling by train, the walk from Hastings to the B& B is all uphill but Fiona suggested St Lenards train station as it is closer and flatter or you can get a bus (99) and it stops outside.

Lovely place to visit just a shame about thr amount of homeless on the streets
"This is a lovely hotel right in the beach. Our room was small and cosy and all we needed. Having requested a twin. Staff are really friendly. The general areas are bright and open. Very welcoming. I'm writing this as I wait to go for breakfast. But our dinner last night was spot on, and delicious 😋.
I'll come again."
"I've had a very pleasant day the staff were very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast and evening meal in the hotel with just what I wanted great choice nothing was overdone cooking wise.
The location for the hotel with just what I needed short walk from the town.
Hotel does have entertainment in the evenings and it's great to hear a good singer.
Many times before and we'll definitely stay there again."
"A beautiful property with quaint gardens within the grounds. Room was for four of us, we had a double bed and a bunk. It was a small room but perfect for us. Bright, airy, and clean with an ensuite shower. Breakfast was included and was a great selection of hot, fresh fruit, cereals with coffee and juices. Would definitely come back and wholeheartedly recommended."
"A wow as you walk through the front door !
Two spacious lounges full of antiques with an African touch.
An afternoon tea room so delightfully set out , gorgeous!
Bedroom clean with a very comfortable bed.
Internet access was great 👍
