This town is in dire need of capital investment from the Government or private sector. It's close to Newcastle plus, road, rail and airport links and in a great place to explore Beamish and Wearsale.

Our trip was based on a visit to the Beamish museum. The Black horse pub is only about 10 minutes drive away.

"I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights whilst away with work, the hotel is fantastic, very new and high tech. Rooms are great, large and with a great bathroom, shower etc. Everything about the hotel was excellent."
