Red Hook is a laid-back, waterfront neighborhood in southwest Brooklyn and is a great base to explore both Brooklyn and Manhattan by Citibike and by foot. In just a few minutes walk you are on a waterfront leading to the Brooklyn bridge with excellent views of the Manhattan skyline."
