It's a tourist town for Petra there's some decent bars and restaurants but there's not much else there.

The place is definitely overrated. Very poor signage in comparison with other UNESCO sites. The taxi and horse drivers are crooks and highly avoidable. People are as aggressive as any other Arab country.
"We were greeted by Mr. Sufyaan, who was very welcoming and very knowledgable. He made everything very easy and guided us on the best activities available. "
"My stay was excellent. Thr property is very conveniently located and is only 1 min away from Petra's visitor center.
The staff at the front desk (Rami) was very gracious to offer me a 2-hour late checkout so that I can freshen up after my visit to Petra. That was very mich appreciated."
