"Loved everything (room, cleanliness, staff, beach setting, activities, entertainment, grounds, etc) except beach seaweed and brown ocean (not your fault or within your control); in general, many of the entrees in the restaurants are well presented but seem to have little to no flavor; lazy river pool around the spa is showing some age as the tile has some rough spots on the bottom where pool floor is pushing up and or rough repairs have been made; checkin process seemed to take longer than expected. Minor issues overall. We will be back again and again."

"This place had such mixed reviews online so I wasn't sure what to expect and almost changed hotels. I am so glad that I didn't. We were very impressed! Great food, drinks, service, room, and amenities. The only thing we weren't impressed with was the steak at the steakhouse restaurant but other than that, food was amazing! We stayed in El Beso ground floor with a swim out pool. I would highly recommend it! "

"Stay time: June 16-22 ROOM; Booked this all inclusive resort for myself and my girlfriend for our one year anniversary. We were very happy with the room situation (preferred king room with ocean view). Room layout included a large living room section, with a king bed and plenty of room to move around. There was a large balcony with a jacuzzi which we did not get the chance to use. Would highly recommend this room to a couple who values each others space (had our own seperate closets and sinks, with a safe). Bidet is also included in the seperate toilet / bathroom section of the room with its own sink. Room came complete with a mini fridge that was stocked with 4 Dos Equis’s every day, two bottles of water, as well as regular and Diet Coke. You can always request more from room service. The preferred section of the resort is adults only and has access to premium alcohol (only one bar in the lounge area, indoors) as well as a seperate pool area from the family side, along with private beach access also seperate from the family side. RESORT EXPERIENCE: Despite being a adults only + family resort, the family side was a ton of fun with activities and events happening every day with specific areas for younger kids to participate in day care and teenagers to play games like ping pong, video games and pool. The family aspect did not inhibit our experience whatsoever and most parents with kids were very fun. If anything it made the experience even more enjoyable. "

"We had a great time here and will be back! Beach - it's seaweed season but that didn't stop us from a walk and mainly enjoying the pools every day. Transport - Amstar was reliable for airport transfer and excursions. Food - I think our favorite restaurant was Satsu. Least favorite was definitely Olios but not sure if we just ordered the wrong things or if it was an off day? If you do book the romantic dinner it is at the Italian restaurant and we were served small portions of steak as main course so a bit disappointed, ordered pasta afterwards which was better lol. Drinks - All the bar staff were great. If you are drinkers then you should order a double (responsibly). They have many flavors of mimosas as well. Room - Our room was just amazing. The swim out room is 100% worth the splurge and we used it daily, also made friends with the neighbors. Resort - clean, humid as expected. We bought massages and got champagne provided due to romantic room! Caution - Yes the staff will ask about food allergies, but whenever you order food you still have to verify that it does not have your allergy in it because it does not seem to be communicated to anyone else, especially dessert. I didn't have any issues with my multple severe food allergies but it was just more of an annoyance. It seems like they ask just to ask. Mainly had issues at the buffet, but if the staff cannot answer your question due to language barrier they will get someone else to help you so that you are safe."

"Our family of 11 had a wonderful time at the Royalton Splash - our group included elderly grandparents and kids of all ages, including a 1-year-old. It was so easy for all of us to stay together and enjoy all of the amenities and activities. The resort was big and spacious, but very accessible. We had no problem getting around from building to building or walking to the beach. The view of the ocean was beautiful, the facilities were lovely and every staff member was kind, helpful, and professional. We would love to return since this place was so fun and convenient for our whole family. "
