Lovely Beach, that's about it, Look elswhere

I have only ended a stay early about 3 times, this is one of them. Check in was less than clean, fyi you can’t use virtual card numbers or an Apple Card. The room was mediocre at best. The bed was like sleeping on pallet of cardboard boxes. The pillows, like the Backstreet Boys, were well past their prime. There were literally no places to hang wet towels. The shower pressure was non existent, and the hot water was down right unpredictable. It took a solid 3 min to get hot water and it was scolding hot, and without touching anything after 60ish seconds it would go cold again. It would oscillate between these two extremes. The AC was a ductless unit, but the compressor was on the balcony which meant if you wanted to keep the room cool, you were blasting the balcony with hot air. The “coffee” bar only served cold style coffees using cold brew that was made days previous. The internet was 1mbps on a good day, not a joke or exaggeration. All of these issues were raised with the front desk and no action was taken. The beach was lovely, not lovely enough to stay there again.

Spend your money on a better hotel

We had 2queen beds, one was passable on comfort and the other horrible. Blankets had substantial wear, tears, in them; no place to hang wet towels or store clothes in drawers. The local jet ski rental companies were a nuisance. The hotel is in need of repairs/upgrading. Surrounding neighborhoods not great. Will not stay here again. Now the plus was it was right on the beach,had a pool/restaurant which was ok; a coffee cafe/kiosk. People were all very helpful and friendly at the hotel. The room was spacious but needed to trade some of the furnishings for a dresser.

Great location to the airport for one night stay

After checking in and receiving our room key in the furthest building from the lobby, our key did not work for our room twice the second time we were given a key to open the door. It was actually to somebody’s room who is occupying it already Yikes!!! We have stayed at this resort many times. It is perfect for a one night stay before moving onto St. John. Yes, It’s a little tired, but our beds were clean and the beach is an extra. Our bartender did a great job he was definitely hustling to keep people well served. I do expect the island time service on the island but at least eye contact from your waitress or waiter in the restaurant would be greatly appreciated just knowing that they acknowledge that you’re there. This resort is a gem, but is definitely in need of a refresher.

Proximity to Airport is Perfection

Proximity perfection to airport and beautiful private beach cove is a great place to start or end a trip. The smaller resort included a pool, bar, and restaurant. The food is a little pricey but good! We ate out locally for most dinners. A fridge is included in room but No microwave in rooms but if you need ask the front desk. They are very accommodating and helpful. Tip: ask to stay in the renovated buildings. No elevators so plan accordingly or get bell service for bags. Will definitely stay again on any future visits to St Thomas.

Comfortable little resort

We stayed hered because our flight was cancelled,. We are not resort people and prefer BnBs. But Emerald Beach was a great place to get stuck. They were flexible about using the facility even though we could not check into our room. It is on a nice cove and has a fairly long beach. The pool was a good size and kept clean.It was relaxing to sit around .The room was comfortable and clean. Each room has a little balcony. We could not get the TV to work perhaps because the batteries on the remote were dead. We didn't care enough to request any help with the TV.The restaurant was a casual bistro. We had tacos and drinks which were very good.

Location was close to the airport but hearing the planes was not an issue since they don't fly during the night. Great beach and pool. Beautiful scenery. Has restaurant and bar so you wouldn't have to go into town unless you wanted too. Not much within walking distance of the hotel so you would need to take a taxi to any off-sight activities. You will need cash for the taxi. Staff very friendly and helpful. Grounds were clean.
