We loved it was 1 block from Taksim Square. The staff was excellent to work with. They had a strong command of english language. The free breakfast was the best. They had over 50 different food items. We had fresh squeezed orange juice. We had to head for the airport at 4 am. They arranged for a cab, and it was waiting at 4 am. We were returning from a Greek cruise, the hotel is just up the hill from the Cruise Port. We would definitely recommend this place, and are already looking forward to a return to Istanbul. This is a fantastic place.

It's better than expectation. All staffs were kind and have good attitude. They are real hoteliers. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the restaurant was also great and host was very kind. Not hard to walk to hotel. It's very close to Taxsim Square, takes only about 5 minutes by walking.

This was an amazing property. The staff couldn't help me enough. The room I had was large. It was clean. The picture is an old picture. They put in a ramp and tables and chairs outside. The only problem is if you have a room on the front side of the hotel the restaurant noise across the street might keep you awake. You may wonder where there taking you when you get taken to this property however it is worth it. I felt completely safe. I was a solo, senior, women traveling alone. I would go out in the evening to the main shopping and restaurant street just around the corner.

Newly refurbished hotel with comfortable rooms, nice bathroom, helpful staff, great location close to Taksim and Istiklal. The girl and the guy at breakfast are doing the best job - so kind and caring for every guest - they make you feel really special. We regularly visit the Mukarnas Pera Hotel. This time we decided to try the Mukarnas Taksim hotel and we liked it too. Now it is time to test the Mukarnas Antalia Hotel.

Good location, decent breakfast and very responsive front desk on WhatsApp. If you use their airport transfer, ensure you bring cash to pay for it. The gym wasn’t much, and in fact, it doubled as the linen ironing room when I was there, so I was working out beside a lady ironing lol. Don’t bother getting the balcony room. It faces a sketch alley and other buildings. No upgrades or anything for Expedia Gold/VIP, so don’t expect that.

Arrived at the hotel from airport around 6 p.m. Was given room on fifth floor. Just about the time I went to bed, 8 pm, bar/restaurant on directly across started with band and massive crowd singing. Eventually it worsened as people got drunk and became shouting, scream, stomping and the band. I asked Desk when it would cease and was told they would close at 12 midnight. At peak, there was al least 100 people in the place and noise level over the top. The Desk clerk told me he contacted the owner after 12 and he then said place would close 1 am. The crowed has lessened, it is near 1:30 am, and the people are still screaming, group singing, shouting.I This defeats purpose for my getting a room, as I needed sleep from experiencing jet lag and only stayed here to get sleep before going to a relative’s home. The staff at the hotel are kind, the food is great, the hotel is clean, but it cannot compensate for location directly across from uncivilized business with likeminded customers who disturb the entire neighborhood. I asked to change room and was told hotel rooms all full so there is not another option.

The hotel insist on offering a basement room for rental. This room should be against building code and should not be rented to guests. The sewage scent will rip you out of your sleep early morning, and if that doesn't wake you up, then the noise and food scent from the neighboring kitchen and breakfast restaurant will do so. This is all next to each other, and for some reason, when the kitchen starts operating, so too does the sewage scent. The scents all mix together. We checked in at about midnight, went to get food, came back to the room after 1am, unpacked, showered, got some tea and got to bed at about 3am. By 7am the sewage-septic scent hit us heavily out of sleep. We called reception. The young man who came to help, climbed up on the dresser, opened the window at the top of the room (it opens to street level -noisy) and turned on the AC in bloody winter. He says the room needs to be aired, and we have a sewage scent because WE didn't let housekeeping in to air out the room. The nerve of him; considering we checked in just a few hours ago. All sleep was done for the day. They told us to pack up, and they would relocate us to another room later in the day after a guest checks out. We proceed to get dress, pack up, have breakfast, and might as well find a way to start our sleep-deprived day. After that things went well. The staff is otherwise exceptionally lovely and the new room was great. These are the only reasons I did not rate them a zero.

Rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was pretty good, staff was very courteous and helpful. The terrible thing was transportation. The hotel was very prompt to collect money at check-in for return trip to the airport. We were ready 30 minutes before the scheduled time. Transportation didnt show up till 40 minutes after. Staff kept on making excuses. We were 1 full hour late to the airport. Really bad experience, not worth the money or last minute worry.
