The Samoana was a nice place to base your stay in Apia. The waterfront and main town area is about a kilometre down the road.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and kept well. The food at the restaurant was fantastic! All in all it was an amazing stay!

Great location, room was clean and well presented, spacious. The bathroom was very clean as well but only lacked ventilation, if you close the door there is only a small window which does not serve any purpose of providing ventilation into the room. Customer service is typical of island ways so I won’t complain about that. Overall it was ok

I booked two different properties in Apia. The first was very central and this one looked like it was but it was out of town, more like a motel really and I was on foot, my mistake. It’s as modern as it looks and the room had everything you need. Although it looks clean it wasn’t entirely. I was looking forward to the pool as I’d been in town for some days. It was lovely and clean but quite small so if others were using it you felt you should just have a quick dip. Also only one chair so not a place to hang around. A small supermarket within walking distance but you really need a car here. The restaurant was lovely and not expensive. Owned separately from the hotel but within its grounds. The receptionist was intimidating and mostly unhelpful. The rest of the staff were lovely and helpful as most Samoan people are.

The room we had was spacious & clean. It’s not far from the market & shops. The staff were amazing. So helpful! Overall, I recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Samoa (Apia). Will definitely be back

Jane the receptionist was lovely! We accidentally locked our key inside one of the rooms and Jane arranged someone to open up our room right away. We stayed at the 2 bedroom apartment and it was very spacious and perfect for our family of nine that stayed there. Everything was available in the kitchen and bathrooms. This is a perfect place for a big family. Only downfall would be not including breakfast or having a restaurant there but other than that my family enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again next time.

Reception & housekeeping staff were lovely & super friendly. Room was clean & tidy. Aircon and ceiling fan were great. Room facilities and space was good for 2 adults & child. Only issues were pool could’ve done with a vacuum & we had cockroach problem in our room. Staff were upfront when I raised it, they have tried the last two months to remedy it. They provided mortein spray for temporary measure during our stay which helped a little. It was inconvenient, we chose not to have food in the room or leave our bags like toiletries open as I didn’t want any roaches getting in and coming home with us. Gate is closed with on site security at night, which we liked.

For the price we paid the room should have been serviced every day. Got the impression the hotel was catering more for locals than international tourists. Our room was very noisy as at front and on a main road ie lots of traffic noise and vehicles playing very loud music.Quieter on weekends.
