Hotels in Mid-City District

"This hotel is long, long overdue for a renovation. Worse, the staff does not maintain very well the existing facilities and makes no real effort to optimize a bad situation. Check-in at the lobby was good with very helpful staff, which gave me an excellent first impression. Once in the room, it went downhill fast, and we began to notice the rundown atmosphere of the worn-out rooms and the common areas. Even the courtyard, which looked terrific on internet photos, has seen the better days with the obvious example of the large rust stain at the bottom of the pool (very unappealing, so we kept our bathing suits in the suitcase). If this property wants to maintain its location on the edge of the French Quarter, it needs to re-invent itself; otherwise, it needs to cut its prices in half, minimally."

"Absolutely perfect stay for my first time in New Orleans! Hot tub and pool area were great, check-in was easy, the room was lovely— and they had extra umbrellas. Really recommend, it’s within walking distance of major areas, but was quiet and located more within a residential area. I 💗 Rathbone!! "

"No it wasn’t "

"Room was dingy and the bathroom door was rotting away. The door to the room was about as thin as cardboard. The WiFi signal was decent. I had to wait 10 minutes at the front desk before anybody even came by to check me in. I know that happened to somebody else because when I was trying to sleep in the next morning, somebody at the front desk was shouting “HELLO…?” for like 30 minutes straight. I was frequently woken up by loud conversations people were having in the front lobby because the walls and doors were so thin and the people were so loud. These loud drunken conversations continued from midnight till about 5:45 am. The only good thing about this place is that it offers a cheap stay really close to the French Quarter but unless I was dirt poor and desperate I’ll never go back here again."

"Was not expecting to have an efficiency for the affordability! Staff was friendly and helpful! Very close to bourbon st. Would definitely stay here again. "

"The room was amazing and clean. Air conditioning worked very well! And so so many shops"

"We enjoyed everything about the hotel and property. Felt safe with gated parking lot as well. Even got to enjoy some sun in the pool Would definitely recommend and go back. "
