"Great place in the center of all"

"This Hotel has an excellent location but it’s the staff that is incredible. When we arrived, having not received any notice from Expedia, the elevator was broken. We had to climb five floors of stairs with luggage. That was a terrible start to the check in. However, we were greeted by a wonderful person named Lucia who made us comfortable, gave us cold drinks and allowed us to relax and breathe. Almost immediately we felt better. Another staff member from the Dominican Republic who spoke several languages was absolutely helpful, personable and extremely friendly. We were given the option to change hotels to a nearby one because of the elevator issue but it was the staff’s approach that convinced us to stay. And we absolutely loved it there…breakfast on the terrace, easily located and findable after a long day of touring and eating. Clean rooms and awesome view of the Duomo. An excellent gelato place “Grom” is right outside. We forgot about that broken elevator until we returned each night and were grateful for that last boost of steps to complete our daily goal!"

"Fabulous Location. Can be loud in the evenings as the action on the Piazza increases, but you can't beat it for shopping, walking, or taxis. Top notch Breakfast Room with attentive, professional staff. Everyone was friendly and Helpful throughout our lengthy stay. Modern bathroom and amenities, very spacious room. Excellent overall stay that let us enjoy the energy of the City and access to its attractions. Two elevators are helpful with luggage and late night access. Well worth the price. Spa was a nice addition for some. Highly recommend, but hope its available when we return!"

"Overall, we had a good stay at Hotel Milu. The location is excellent and made it very easy to explore Florence on foot. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit, which we appreciated. That said, there were a few areas where the hotel did not quite meet our expectations, especially considering the price point and four-star rating. The room was not as clean as we expected upon arrival, and the child bed we had requested was not set up and ready when we checked in. While these issues were eventually addressed, it would have been nice to have everything prepared in advance. For the price charged, we expected a higher level of attention to detail and room readiness. The hotel has many strengths, particularly its location and staff, but there is room for improvement in housekeeping and preparation for arriving guests. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but we believe the value for money could be better."
