"We booked this particular hotel on the strength of the lovely photographs of the rooms, as part of a 3 major city tour of Italy as a 30th wedding anniversary treat to ourselves. To say we were disappointed is an understatement.... we were given what we felt was the smallest room in the house (my husband is 6'2" and had to walk around the room stooping down to avoid banging his head on some of the rafters) it was in the roof, very dark due to a tiny window, and very hot despite the air conditioning. But, the breakfast staff were excellent and the location was the absolute best, literally 2 minutes walk from St Marks for example. "

"First of all - the place looks fantastic! A quick 5 minute walk from Realto water taxi dock , and about 10 minute walk to Doge palace - the location was perfect! Also the staff - wow! All of them were friendly courteous, informative and spoke at least 3 or 4 languages a piece. The rooms were large and comfortable with stunning marble throughout. lastly, the included breakfast spread was delicious and catered to all tastes. Bravo!"

"Very comfortable hotel, with fabulous views over the water. Wonderful location with St Mark's and other main sights all close by. Also situated right next to a waterbus stop making journey to airport, Murano, Burano and rest of Venice extremely easy. Staff were friendly and very helpful throughout. Very good breakfast with lots of choice of hot and cold dishes, and gluten-free bread as standard."

"Overall wouldnt stay again or recommend. The pros were the location, breakfast and waitress staff at breakfast who was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Other Staff polite but not overly helpful, room clean but needs serious work and updating and photos do not represent the actual state and size of the room. On messaging staff for help as the air con was off and only heating available, despite the rooms being incredibly hot and worse at night trying to sleep, they just said to turn the heating off although it wasnt on. No air con as advertised and no fans either. They also have a serious mosquito issue so each time we opened the window for some fresh air the room would again be full of them resulting in us both being bitten multiple times. The bathroom is incredibly small and you cant even sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the bidet so dont stay if you are over 5ft 5 max. Shower extremely small. Staff were rude in message responses and very unhelpful when asked to change rooms. "
