"Warm, lovely sized rooms, great service, nice biccies, parking, the joy of sleeping in a breathing historic building. Full of history, charm and character in the charming Grade 1 listed building! 3rd time I’ve been and will happily becoming again when In Shrewsbury. Close to town, pubs, the river, shops and the city centre. Even Charles Dickens stayed her many MANY years ago!"

"The room wa clean and comfortable. The staff are brilliant. There were a couple of 'issues' when we arrived. TWe couldn't get the bedside lights to work and the radiator was very noisy and not heating. We mentioned this to the staff and both issues were sorted straight away (the fuse switch on the wall had been turned off, hence the lights not working and th radiator had an airlock and needed to be bled).There is some noise from the bar below but this ends when the bar closes at 10.30 and then all is quiet. The food in the bar is delicious and you get a discount on food and drink if you are staying upstairs!"

"This is a little gem of a place with the rooms opposite the pub, they could not do enough for us from making us welcome to excellent food and impeccable service. If you’re looking for a bit of quiet and out of town so noises to a minimum this is ideal and we couldn’t recommend anything better, there was nothing to fault. Thank you to the staff who were amazing, this break was awesome given my situation looking after my mother with dementia so felt so relaxed whilst here, the staff really get to know you so you feel very welcome. "
