"Sky Plaza provides an amazing view of the Tokyo skyline. Staff and service were excellent. Always so friendly and respectful. Impressed by the female door-“people”. They transported our luggage with ease, impressive considering their small stature. Breakfast was very good. Lots of western and Asian choices."
"The hotel is located close to tourist spots like ;
“ Memory lane “ , “ the Godzilla head at the Hotel Gracery at Shijuku” and “ Gold-Gai “ etc. Also close to restaurants, seven eleven, family mart, a McDonald .
Clean room but no cabinets for clothes. "
"A large hotel which is across the road from a train station(above ground), It has a Family Mart connected to the lobby and a large supermarket is nearby.
For us, this property did not hit the mark.
Rooms: are large but in our twin room, one of the beds was still up against a wall and so one of us had to climb in to bed from the end?
Tour Groups: it caters for large tour groups which can make breakfast a terrible, frantic affair (we had to line up at 6:30am one morning for over 10 mins just to get in)
Staff: perhaps because of the nature of the clientele, the staff do not offer the polite, welcoming manner of other Japanese hotels. We were greeted only once during our stay, of an entire week. When we first arrived the reception guy said bluntly: "check-in is at 3pm, if you want to come now, you will have to pay extra!" What a welcome...no welcome to TBSP, no unfortunately, no the room is not available, etc ......When we did check in later that day, it took over 10 mins, the city tax amount was not known and we were not even told our room number! (we read it off a little receipt) by the girl.
Families: a popular hotel with families, we had neighbouring rooms who
1. left their door ajar so that the children could run up to another room(so from an open door, there was constant noise) and
2. sent 4 children out to play in the corridor unsupervised, when I went to ask where their parents were, I was told "out shopping!""
"The location is amazing right and a must for people who love the night life. Golden gai is only a couple blocks over and their are plenty of food spots to enjoy."
"The buffet breakfast was good, the variety was impressive, with made-to order omelets with a great mix of hot dishes, fresh fruits and local specialties.
The room was cleaned everyday too."
