Upon check in, we were told that one of the light switches inside the room should remain ON at all times. It was the power source for fridge, tv and lamps.
Inside the room, both light switches were off. The fridge was warm inside and obviously had been off for a long time.
The front desk lady offered to change our room.
She opened 2 other rooms and found the switches were off in them as well.
She said the room cleaning staff had made this error.
She finally said she would upgrade our room to a newly remodeled one.
The only things I noticed that were different were a funky lighted mirror, a new faucet that was not clean, base boards replaced in the bathroom which were 1 inch shorter than the previous baseboards and there remained the obvious dirry stripe above the new ones.
There was no plug for the tub (my husband likes to take a bath). The curtains were missing clips to be hung correctly. The sheets were thread bare. The sink drained very slow. The carpet looked like it had been shampooed but still had stains. When i sat at the foot of the bed, the head of the bed raised up from the bed frame underneath...like a teeter totter.
Box springs mattress? It was collapsed on the edges.
Our scene from our room window was a very dirty abandoned hotel. Broken windows, trash inside the fence, and there was razor wire on the chain link to deter anyone trying to enter the property.
It was a disappointment.
