Overall this was a nice stay. Liked having the balcony and front area (I had a studio). room felt spacious although the bed was a bit stiff and would have liked a more comfortable bed. The bathroom was OK (shower was a bit small for my liking but I'm used to larger showers being an American and the water as a result is not very well controlled and goes allover the bathroom floor but there is a drain outside the shower to catch water, but I found this to be a bit annoying so don't put anything on the floor unless you don't mind it getting wet). The bathroom was my only real "complaint" about the hotel. Staff was very friendly, and the made-to-order breakfast was a plus. Also the area is pretty quiet at night, although if you have a car, parking can be tricky, especially during the day.

Pretty basic hotel

We had booked a studio with sea view, not realising that it wasn't the same side as the caldera view. Unfortunately the room looked nothing like the pictures and was quite dated and dark, so not inviting at all. We raised this with the owner and weren't able to change rooms, so left a bit disappointed. Breakfast was nothing special in our view and got boring very quickly. Overall an okay stay and reasonable price considering Santorini prices, but wouldn't stay again

Good location

Good location . Very helpful manager . Property seemed a little tired and not as luxurious as made out to be ,assume that the better rooms are those with the Caldera view .Great views of the sunrise but the balcony had seen better days ,needed some TLC . Breakfast was OK ,again we had expected something a little better such as freshly squeezed juice however bringing it to each room was a nice touch . Santorini is very expensive however we felt that this property didn't offer the same value for money as others we have stayed in .

Pavlos is an excellent host and the hotel has a stunning view. It’s clean and quiet, a bit out of way in Imerovigli but walkable to everything. Highly recommend.

Loved our stay at Abelonas Retreat. Excellent location right on the walking trail. Amazing sunset views ( why struggle with all the gawkers in Oia when you can watch from your own place?). Nice pool for afternoon cooling. Clean. Comfortable beds. Loved the personalized breakfasts brought right to your door. Excellent staff. I’d give them a 10!

My friends and I spent 2days at Abelonas Retreat. The staffs were nice and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable! We love the view of Aegean Sea outside of the room window.it was amazing!!

La recepción es tan cálida y tan amable, te sientes mejor que en cualquier otro lugar. La vista es más que espectacular, la ojest del sol es mucho más bella que en el castillo de oia, la habitaciones muy limpias y muy cómodas, es excepcional este lugar. Our stay at Albenos Retreat in Santorini was nothing short of magical. Perched above the caldera, the retreat offered breathtaking views in every direction. From the west-facing balcony, we watched the sun sink into the Aegean Sea in a blaze of color each evening—a truly unforgettable Santorini sunset. On the east side, we were greeted each morning by the gentle glow of the sunrise, casting light over the island and starting each day with serenity. The rooms were spotless, thoughtfully designed, and comfortable—offering a perfect mix of modern amenities and Cycladic charm. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and local tips to enhance our stay. One of the highlights was enjoying our daily breakfast on our balcony, with fresh local ingredients and unbeatable views. It was the perfect way to slow down and take in the peaceful surroundings. Albenos Retreat was a peaceful haven that gave us the best of Santorini’s natural beauty and warm hospitality. We’d return in a heartbeat.
