I loved this place. A little tricky to find, this hidden jewel is exactly what Cartagena is all about. Don’t pay attention to the naysayers who complain about noise… this is Cartagena, not known for quiet respite. Go to Sedona for that. The bar closes at 11 and I slept perfectly well in a clean room with a clean and comfortable bed. Call them if you need a late check in and they will waiti around for you. amazing service, great value. Look up Amasa cafe down the street for your meals and DO NOT leave Cartagena without trying their Amasa Spritz which I had for breakfast because that’s the way they do it here. Enjoy, complain less and appreciate that other countries don’t need to comply with our petty needs and overbearing opinions on how hosting should be. Great stay!

Nice but Buyers beware

The bathrooms are literally located inside the bedroom with just a small sliding door and no roof. So if your spouse is using the bathroom, you can smell it while you’re in the bed. You can literally hear the poop dropping into the toilet while you’re in bed.The toilets are extremely narrow and hard to get into. If you’re 510 or 511 in height or wider, there is no way you can get into the toilet and even if you do you’ll have a hard time wiping yourself clean. Takes a while for the hot water to start running. You have to wait for about 8 to 10 minutes before hot water starts coming into the shower.

Water from AC leaked on my head while sleeping.

This should not be a hotel. The space would be better used for a small store. The only good thing about this property is the one staff member on duty. The room was so tiny, that my husband and I couldn’t both open our luggage at the same time. Water from the AC leaked on our heads while sleeping. I had to cover my head with a pillow. The water from the shower would not heat up. I had to take cold showers. The room was ice cold. The thermostat was frozen. The blinds were broken so we covered part of our window with something from our bed. The walls in the bathroom were dirty. The toilet lid would not stay up. This hotel is on a shady side of town. Bar right next door is super loud and makes it difficult to sleep. Hotels.com should be ashamed to list this property.

The location is great and safe in the heart of Cartagena old city center. The cleanliness was great. The mattress is comfortable. However, the customer service during check in, check out and the entire stay was a disaster. You feel like you did not pay for your room and you are not welcome. The shower is cold and the water pressure is very low. The room does not have a window you can open and close. I won’t return back to this hotel and I won’t not recommend to visitors who care about a good customer service. Forgot something, keep in mind they will knock at your door at 11AM to push you to check out. Even with this poor customer service, they could not spoil my travel experience. Cartagena is wonderful and worth visiting.

AVOID IT!!! From checking in time I was expecting a little noise from the bar. But at 10/11 at night the noise went astronomical. Next to my room there was a party spot. People screaming, singing loudly, laughing out loud, and the walls have zero insulation, making it feel as they were in my room. Texted the property for help, sent videos of the noise. Left in the middle of the night to find a hotel to sleep. AVOID IT
