The hotel's landscaping and common areas are beautiful and well kept, and the access to the waterpark and Palomino Island are its best features, however, the hotel rooms in Las Brisas are old, worn down, furntiture and rugs outdated and poorly kept, and the bathrooms as well with very old and dangerous sunken bathtubs. The decor was also very sober and outdated, and the rooms have very old and cheap ceiling fans that are not even necessary given the rooms have AC. I would definitely recommend improving in modernizing the rooms and bathrooms, as well as lines, pillows (very old and wasted) since the comfort and luxury of the rooms is as important as other hotel amenities especially if you advertise as a 4 star hotel (which it is not) and if you charge on average $350+ per night in low season. Another issue is the lack of variety options for breakfast. Only one restaurant (Ventanas) for all of the hotel's occupancy for buffet or a la carte breakfast is impossible to meet the demand on a daily basis, and this was low season, so I cannot imagine high season, waiting more than 1hr 1/2 to find a table for breakfast. The only other option in the entire hotel is the Coffee Shop in the lobby, also super full and with limited variety for breakfast. Finally , the restaurants for lunch and dinner very limited options too, very expensive, especially for dinner, which also limits the number of days you would be willing to stay in the resort.
