Perfect location everything you need in a couple minutes walk. Beach is 1 minute walk. Property is clean, comfortable, and QUIET at night which was a huge plus.

Room had cockroaches and was very basic with not even a way to heat water for tea or coffee. Bed was comfy though. Shower and water pressure were pretty good. Location location location is the property’s biggest attribute. Half block to beach. Pool area was great. Owner and staff were very welcoming, kind, and eager to answer questions and chat. The toilet broke while there and they fixed right away. I would stay again!

In thirty-plus years of travelling, this is the only time we have left a hotel because we just couldn’t stay there. When we originally booked, the MK was rated as 10/10; however, though we are fine with rustic, it was about as far from that as possible. First of all, when we checked in, the pool was green and full of debris, with gravel all around it, an empty, rundown pool shack, and a bunch of iguanas. The description on hotels.com said that theirs was a top-rated pool. (It did get cleaned before the next morning) Second, when we checked into our bungalow, we found there were no amenities. No shampoo, only two towels, a light sheet on the bed, no hot water in the sink, no safe, no TV and the door was very difficult to open because it was falling off its hinges. There was a glass door across from the shower that led to the “patio,” but it was locked, and peeking through the cracks, it looked to be an enclosed area about 4ft by 5ft, full of tree branches and leaves. The room itself was concrete, which was fine, but the small curtain-covered window made you feel like you were in a jail cell. It did not feel safe or secure. When we woke up in the morning, sewage was seeping out from under the toilet. When we reached out, I think the staff tried to make things better, and we were offered another room. We looked at the other room but ultimately decided to leave. We found another hotel for $20 more per night—full amenities, better location, great pool and safe.

We left after one night of our 3-night planned stay. The “room”had literally NO furniture… it was a stone slab. No tv, hairdryer, dresser/table. The tiny pillow would not be suitable for my cat. The faucet in the bathroom was broken; the shower was poorly lit; the sorry excuse for a window cover was a lightweight wooden dowel which fell off upon touching. I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. NO BEACH by the way. When I politely asked if we could get refunded for nights we didn’t stay I got a NO with no explanation. Worst place I have literally EVER stayed.

The door latch got stuck I had to climb out the window to get out in the morning when they cleaned my room somebody stole my cologne and my flip sunglasses I had already given four of the maids the 20 peso tip it was fairly clean and had hot water cheap $50 a night but the management did nothing to compensate I left and went to stay with friends nice people at the desk the owner was nice and I understand about employees I've had many it's what I expect for a cheap motel it was close to the beach close to the fishing boats and I felt safe but this stuff lock in the thieving is not good

This was a mixed bag. The good: Great location, friendly staff. Good price. The not so good. The rooms were bare bones, shody plumbing, cement floors. The bad. The beds wee rock hard and very uncomfortable. I had back pain every morning and barely slept.
