Barons Court Hotel
6/10 Okay
"Sadly this is a very old establishment and the decor reflects this. Thought I was back
in the 80's. The beds were well used and sagged although the linen was fresh and clean.
Good parking and staff pleasant."
"Firstly I just want to point out how well kept the rooms are as well as the restaurant and reception area. Lovely hotel, friendly staff especially the staff we met at breakfast and on that note what an amazing breakfast it was, plus fresh eggs! We did have a wonderful stay. The one thing to let this hotel down was the pool, jucuzzi area. We felt it is in desperate need of an upgrade, lots of things not working but just the interior needs a bit of TLC painted and cracks here and there. My husband said the male changing rooms were awful and dirty. Over all a pleasant stay, loved the king bed in our room and glad we upgraded . We would stay again however wouldn’t book purely for pool facilities, pool is also very small which I know can’t be changed but is in need of a makeover."
"I have stayed in a few Holiday Inn Expresses and this is definitely one of the best ones.
Clean, tidy and has benefited from a refurb in recent history.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
One I will return too (there are a few that I wouldn't!)."
"Captured audience so the food was outrageously priced £30.00 plus for a bang basic mixed grill. Parking in a huge car park was £10.00 with plenty of spare places. Even blue badge holders were charged the same but all the disabled bays were taken up by gym users etc and only one badge displayed in 20 plus bays. The signs indicating payment were not noticeable and we saw a few residents falling foul of this. Worst of all. No check in desk. All electronic. Not intuitive at all. So much so that there were staff permanently stood by the consoles helping folks check in and out. Just have a bl@@dy reception desk! There’s knob all other than a KFC nearby (although Champy’s a short drive away is sublime and highly recommended). All in all a comfy bed and that’s about it. This place is more about greed in my opinion. Do yourself a favour and swerve this one. There’s plenty better and cheaper. One more thing, it’s a refurbished property and if you know anything about building, there’s plenty of sticking plasters. You can’t make a silk purse out of a sows ear! Greed in my opinion."

"Good value for money clean and comfortable, can hear other people in the surrounding rooms / bathroom usage but it did not disturb me too much as i was away early. Would stay again if working in the area. Reception staff were helpful and friendly"
