You might want to practice your swing at King's Deer Golf Club, a golf course located 4.5 mi (7.3 km) from central Monument. If King's Deer Golf Club doesn't quite scratch your golfing itch, Eisenhower Golf Club and Pine Creek Golf Club are all just a short drive away.
"The elevator doesn’t work at this hotel. We stayed on the 3rd floor. The stairs are just cement stairs so a bit unsafe looking. The main 1st floor guest bathroom all stalls were out of toilet paper and when mentioned they said it’s been out for over a week. The rooms were semi clean, but had a stale smell and were run down. The pool had no lights on. Breakfast was given a paper plate after needing to give name and room number. Breakfast was bland and another customer had asked for a new batch of eggs to be made. Overall stay was so so, but in dire need of a refresher."
"Really nice hotel that is well located with very nice and helpful staff...Close to all the things you want to do in Manitou. . Good breakfast was a treat..."
"Nothing stood out on the positive side. I guess the bed was comfortable.
The tub/shower had signs of mold and or mildew in corners. The was no fan switch, so I am guessing the cold-air return was the vent in the ceiling of the bathroom. It was very dirty. The wall behind the bathroom door was dented from the lock button on the door handle. It had been repaired before, but they didn't bother to put in a door stop to keep it from happening again ....
The flooring in the hotel room was hard flooring - I'm guessing low-quality vinyl planks. I am guessing that's actually a cleaner option that carpeting, but the downside is that it doesn't have the sound dampening aspect of carpet and pad. Someone in the room above us was walking around with hard-heeled shoes. They weren't walking hard nor stomping, but we could hear every step they made. I'm glad we were there just one night."
"We have stayed here both times in Manitou Springs. Has pool and hot tub and a decent breakfast. Also close enough to down town. Great diner next door as well."
