"We had suite studio which is very spacious. The hotel owner was very helpful and responsive to our WhatsApp message and allowed us to check in early. We had a good time here and will stay here again next time. We also like the restaurant called Soda El Buen Comer with walking distance from the hotel, seafood fried rice is very delicious."

"Staff was incredible. Everyone we encountered was very friendly, helpful, and kind which had a very positive impact on our stay. Location isnt ideal do to being on a hill at a relatively far distance from the beach but also made for a great view for the sunsets. The shuttle did help alleviate this issue and ubers were pretty cheap as well. Included breakfast was ok and what you would expect for a hotel breakfast. "

"Ocho is an incredible hotel!! Beautiful rooms with waterfall shower, large tub and beautifully decorated. Beachfront lounge chairs, a pool with view of the ocean and such wonderful service. I felt so welcome and taken care of even before I arrived. It’s a place to unwind and let go!"

"Very happy with our stay at Occidental Tamarindo! First, the staff, I’ve never felt so welcomed any where else. Plenty of food and drinks. Clean rooms and facility in general. Entertainment team made a huge effort every single night and was really appreciated by us. They go above and beyond in every show with whatever resources they have. Special mention to the tours desk in the hotel with Sibü Tours! Yusi is amazing and very personal in every interaction. The best driver ever, Manrique, is all you need when looking for a friend in an unknown destination! He’s our friend now! Francisco, the guide, was fun, friendly and informative (5 stars), and Don Diego the big boss, a very humble, pleasant and friendly guy. Such a great team! We’re already planning to go to Occidental again!"

"We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and loved our stay! The table under the covered patio was great for playing games and hanging out when it rained, but also provided sun protection. The rooms were quite soundproof which I appreciated. We enjoyed both going in the pool and taking a short walk to the ocean, which the hotel conveniently had some chairs we could borrow as well as beach towels. Lots of dining nearby as well as a grocery store across the street. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had and included a smoothie and fresh fruits. The staff were very friendly and remembered preferences day to day. We felt very safe with a locked gate at night and a staff on overnight as well. We would stay again when back in Tamarindo. "
