We stayed here for 3 nights and had the best time, it's about a 5-10 min walk to the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, we got up around 5:30am-6am and their were no crowds, we were able to catch the sunset as well, we took so many pictures, it was absolutely beautiful. "Hotel and staff are lovely. Ideal if you have a car. Thankful for free shuttle bus to station if you haven’t. Not much to do / see immediately around the hotel. But great location for seeing the bamboo forest. "
